QRZ Forums. I want to understand the things I am reading rather than just memorizing the answers and question format. Can anyone point me to a good book in understanding some electronic theory OR a book that has a great way of explaining how radios actually work.
Yea i can read it in the book and look at a schematic they provide. But I want to really understand how things work. I understand the majority of things in the book but once they start talking about digital IC's or even the radio building blocks section.

Nathan, If you're referring to the ARRL Handbook as the "general book" then yes, that tome is a quite a bit of overload for a new radio amateur. They are also available at Amazon.
